Wuaca Luna, MD, graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine and did his residency in Family Medicine there. After completing his residency, Dr. Luna did a fellowship in primary care Sports Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Luna is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine.
Since joining Valley Medical Center in 2003, Dr. Luna has been a member of the Cascade Clinic, where he practices Family Medicine and primary care Sports Medicine. Dr. Luna is also the head physician at Valley Medical Center's Sports Medicine Clinic. In 2014, the community accorded Dr. Luna the Best of Renton Award for Best Physician (Renton Reporter).
In addition to a busy clinical practice, Dr. Luna serves as the team physician for Rainier Beach High School, his alma mater. His hobbies include watching and participating in sports, playing chess and Latin salsa dancing. Dr. Luna also enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters and extended family.
