Provider Bio

Ali Merritt, CNM, works as a midwife laborist at Valley Medical Center, caring for patients exclusively in the hospital setting. Ali first discovered her passion for labor and delivery while job shadowing in high school. She went on to become a labor and delivery nurse and worked for eight years before becoming a midwife. She has been working as a midwife since 2016. Ali believes that pregnancy and birth is an incredible process and considers it an honor to care for patients during such an important moment. Her goal is to facilitate a calm and empowering birth experience for families.

Ali completed both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at University of Pennsylvania. She is a Certified Nurse Midwife and board-certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Ali is a Seattle native and comes from a medical family. In her free time, Ali enjoys gardening, yoga, traveling, scuba diving, and spending time with her family.
