John "Jack" McCallum, MD, is a vascular and endovascular surgeon with interest in peripheral artery disease, carotid artery stenosis, aortic aneurysms, and dialysis access surgery. He is board-certified in vascular surgery and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation. He believes in partnering with patients to choose the appropriate open surgical, minimally invasive or non-surgical treatment option for them.
Dr. McCallum was born in New York, and went to medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, where he also did graduate work in bioethics and medical humanities. He completed general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and did graduate work in public health at Harvard School of Public Health. Prior to joining Valley, he practiced vascular surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, and was Assistant Professor of Surgery at UCLA School of Medicine.
