Joona Rajan, ARNP, began her nursing career in 2003, working at multiple facilities, including Good Samaritan Hospital, Overlake Medical Center, and Valley Medical Center. Throughout her career as an RN and while completing her graduate studies, she nurtured an interest in caring for patients with cardiac diseases and has been a part of Valley Medical Center for the last 10 years, working in the procedural care unit. Joona prioritizes building strong relationships with all her patients to understand their concerns and support a pathway toward an ideal state of health, helping them lead a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle. With her knowledge in nursing informatics, she supports the development of procedural care patient education and communication.
Joona first earned her diploma in General Nursing in 2003 at the Government School of Nursing in Kannur, India. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University in 2014, jumpstarting her career as an RN through various facilities. From her RN experience, she later decided to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics in 2024 at Western Governors University, along with a Post-Master’s Certification in Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Walden University in 2026.
She holds a national certification with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). Outside of clinical practice, Joona enjoys camping, traveling the world, and spending time with her friends and family.
