Amelia Shah, LICSW, is a counselor at the Psychiatry and Counseling Clinic. She has experience working with adults on a wide range of issues but particularly enjoys supporting patients with family of origin attachment disturbances, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss. She completed her undergraduate studies at Seattle University and earned her Master of Social Work degree at University of Washington. Before joining Valley Medical Center, Amelia worked as a therapist in community mental health, as an advocate for survivors of sex trafficking and served abroad in the United States Peace Corps. In her free time Amelia enjoys gardening, dog walking, hiking and traveling.
