Matthew Surrusco, MD, enjoys caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds. He specializes in disease processes in the fields of trauma and emergency general surgery. He is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care.
He earned his medical degree from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill before completing a general surgery residency in southern California at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He then moved on to University of Florida – Shands Hospital where he completed his fellowship in surgical critical care. Outside of the hospital he enjoys teaching advanced trauma life support and “Stop the Bleed” courses throughout the Pacific Northwest to help ease the burden of traumatic injuries on the community. Outside of his clinical work, he and his wife enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and traveling with friends and family.
