UW Medicine’s contracts with Aetna for Medicare Advantage and Commercial services expire on May 31, 2025, unless renewed. Melody Soucy, ARNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in pulmonary and sleep medicine. She is patient-centered in her approach to care and seeks to develop relationships with her patients based on shared decision making. She believes in listening carefully to identify her patient’s priorities for their wellness, and then partnering with them to help them achieve the highest quality of life possible.
Melody joined Valley Medical Center in 1997, working as a registered nurse and clinical educator with an emphasis in emergency and critical care nursing. After earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing, Melody attended Graceland University for her post-graduate education in family practice. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
Melody was raised in the Pacific Northwest and is passionate about caring for the community where she lives with her husband and son. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and travel.
