I was born in Houston, Texas and raised in The Woodlands, a stone’s throw to the north. Following high school graduation, I attended Fire Academy to become a Fire Fighter, and attained my Paramedic licensure shortly thereafter. Working as a Paramedic was my first introduction to the world of medicine and healthcare. I quickly realized I had an innate drive and passion for helping my fellow man, and opted to work as a full-time Paramedic, serving the community I had grown up in. After four years of service to my community, I transitioned to a new form of a service, service to our country. I went on to serve four years in our United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman (medic). It was here where I was introduced to and able to work with highly motivated physicians and medical staff. With their guidance and mentorship, it was during this time that I decided to pursue higher education, and oriented myself towards becoming a Physician. My military enlistment was from 2012 to 2016, and once it ended I moved from my duty station in Nevada to Tempe, Arizona, to attend Arizona State University. I graduated December of 2018 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences.
I was drawn to Family Medicine as it allows the versatility to work in multiple environments and clinical settings, to wear multiple hats, and to have a real, lasting impact on the patients you care for. My interests span outpatient and inpatient medicine, emergency medicine and urgent care as well as lifestyle medicine and obesity medicine.
I absolutely love the Pacific Northwest and cannot wait to explore my new home more. I have completed 8 triathlons over the years, and am passionate about all forms of fitness e.g. running, biking, swimming, weightlifting. I also love all racquet sports, and have been very much enjoying Pickleball. When at the house, you can find me playing video games or lounging on the couch with my partner and our three cats, Daisy, Murph, and Zemo. Hopefully one day in the future we can add a German Shepherd or Golden Retriever to our growing family.
