Sumeet Subherwal, MD, is an interventional cardiologist at Valley’s Cardiology Clinic. His passion includes caring for patients with advanced cardiovascular disease and peripheral vascular disease. He is a firm believer in the lifestyle modification approach for his care of patients.
Dr. Subherwal was born in India, but spent most of his life in Southern California and went to University of California, Irvine for a combined MD/MBA program. He then went to the Washington University St Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital for residency in internal medicine. He was a NIH Scholar in their cardiovascular division. He transferred to Duke University to complete a cardiovascular disease fellowship and interventional cardiology fellowship. He completed a research fellowship as well at the Duke Clinical Research Institute where he focused on outcomes trials and clinical trials in cardiovascular medicine. He later moved to the Seattle area with his family in 2015. Dr. Subherwal enjoys spending time with his three lovely daughters and wife.
