UW Medicine’s contracts with Aetna for Medicare Advantage and Commercial services expire on May 31, 2025, unless renewed. Jeremiah is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). He believes that at any given moment, people are doing their best with what they are given. Utilizing a trauma-informed and unconditionally positive lens, he is eager to support others in learning and exploring their past and present. He aims to empower people to be agents of change in their own lives and in doing so, find their own path in creating a hopeful future where they can live, thrive, and achieve their true potential. He is particularly interested in supporting clients making meaning from their experience and incorporating that meaning into healthy behaviors and a happy life. He is an LGBTQ+ ally with experience working with individuals impacted by developmental disabilities and neurotypical adults. He has experience working with a variety of psychiatric conditions ranging from trauma and post traumatic stress to anxiety and depression. He is trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Jeremiah grew up in Auburn, Washington before joining the United States Navy out of highschool and was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan for three years. Post-service he completed a Bachelors of Arts in gender, women, and sexuality studies at University of Washington and a Master of Arts in education from Seattle University, specializing in clinical mental health counseling. Outside of work Jeremiah enjoys physical fitness, friend-filled BBQs, rooting for the Seahawks, and spending way too much time tinkering with his planted aquarium.
