Despite their best efforts, UW Medicine has not yet been able to reach fair and sustainable agreements with Aetna that ensure continued access to care and are in the best interests of patients. Effective June 1, 2025, UW Medicine’s contracts with Aetna for Medicare Advantage and Commercial services have expired and we are now out of network with Aetna. Disruptions in Service at North Benson Urgent Care

Valley is committed to safe and equitable care for everyone in our community.

We support the right to protest and voice opinion. We do not condone malicious behavior that creates a hostile environment for our staff to work and patients to access care.

North Benson Urgent Care has been serving the Renton and Kent community since 2008. Our patient population is diverse and more vulnerable than most. Nearly 50% of the people we care for are Black, Asian or People of Color. In addition, we have been a designated upper respiratory/COVID evaluation and care clinic throughout the pandemic. When others closed their doors to potential COVID patients, North Benson Urgent Care continued to welcome all in our community.

We have a long and deep commitment to equitable access to care in our community and we have taken action to enhance workflows and processes to help ensure we live up to and where possible, further strengthen that promise.

It is our mission to care for our community like family and it is unfortunate the disruptive actions by a few are denying our community access to the care they rely on and deserve.

We are working diligently to mitigate the disruption and fully return to caring for those who need us.
