SCAM ALERT: Protect yourself and your identity from fake job postings.
There is a fake job/fake check scam that is circulating on multiple national job boards such as LinkedIn, Upwork, and many others. Scam artists looking to steal an applicant's personal information and identity are creating fake job postings by reputable companies and even using the name of company officials and Board members to make the scam seem legitimate.
CNBC recently reported on the issue and we have been made aware this scam is now circulating in our area. While Valley does post positions on many job boards, all of our current positions are listed on our own Careers site and we encourage applicants to apply with us directly and not through an "easy apply" feature on a 3rd party site. We never use names of our company officials or Board members in our postings, our Board members do not conduct staff interviews, and we never ask for applicatns to pay for services or equipment out of pocket or cash a Valley check for services or equipment.
