Joseph Hwang, MD, is a maternal fetal medicine specialist and Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Washington. He graduated from Loyola University School of Medicine in Chicago, and completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. He is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and the sub-specialty of Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Hwang is experienced in managing high-risk pregnancy and has particular clinical interest in preterm birth prevention, cerclage placement and prenatal diagnosis/ultrasound. He is passionate about providing contemporary and evidence-based healthcare to patients with complex medical/obstetrical conditions.
Dr. Hwang is married and has two daughters. He enjoys classical music, foreign films, golf, and hiking. He speaks fluent Korean.
