Our new Community Involvement Program builds on trusted partnerships we've long valued while creating a very intentional way to focus on shared health priorities.

How Requests Are Reviewed
Applications are carefully evaluated by a committee of Valley leaders and stakeholders representing a variety of clinical and social service disciplines.

- Reach within our hospital district
- Opportunity for meaningful health education engagement
Community health impact is prioritized over promotional recognition and with limited financial support available, in-kind opportunities are more likely to gain approval.
How We Get Involved
We do our best to tailor our involvement to fit your event or program. Support may include:
- Health education information and materials
- Physicians, clinicians, and health experts to speak virtually or in-person
- Referrals and connections to community resources and partner organizations
- In-kind donation drives such as food or supplies
- Programming that encourages students to consider a healthcare career
When to Apply
Each year in August, we open an eight-week application window. These dates will be announced at least 30 days in advance. We accept one application per organization per cycle, and applicants will hear back from us within 30 days after the application window closes.

Community organizations working to address health-related needs in South King County are welcome to apply. We prioritize organizations whose work aligns with the health priorities identified in our 2026 Community Health Needs Assessment.
Yes. Many of the factors that shape health happen outside of our hospital or clinics. If your work addresses access to food, housing, education, behavioral health, or other social drivers of health, your organization may be a good fit.
Applications are submitted through our online application form, available on this page each August when the application window opens. We recommend reviewing our Community Involvement Program priorities before applying to make sure your request for support is a good fit.

Valley's involvement is tailored to your event or program. You may request health education materials, physicians or clinicians to speak at your event, connections to non-profit community resources, in-kind donation drives, educational programming around healthcare careers, or—in limited cases— financial support.
Limited financial support is available, but it is not the focus of this program. Our emphasis is on meaningful involvement which means showing up with people, knowledge, and resources rather than simply writing a check.

We consider alignment with our mission, relevance to priority health needs, impact on underserved populations, geographic reach within our hospital district, and opportunity for health education engagement.
Applicants will be notified within 30 days after the application window closes. All applicants, whether approved or not, will receive a response.
