Hospitalists are doctors whose primary focus is care of hospitalized patients. They do not see patients in a clinic setting. Our obstetric (OB) hospitalists are available 24/7 and may care for you during your labor if there is an emergency and your provider is not immediately available. Any obstetric patient in Valley's Birth Center can utilize our OB hospitalist's services. Your provider may request that the OB hospitalist be involved in your care depending upon your specific situation.
