UW Medicine’s contracts with Aetna for Medicare Advantage and Commercial services expire on May 31, 2025, unless renewed. We have not been able to reach a fair agreement with Aetna that is financially feasible. If an agreement cannot be reached, we will be out of network with Aetna, effective June 1, 2025. Learn more.
Weight Loss Surgery Clinic Closing
We regret to announce the Weight Loss Surgery Clinic will be closing, effective April 30, 2021. Dr. Jeffrey T. Landers, MD, has provided excellent care for our community. Low volumes and significant operational impacts this past year requiring us to pause elective surgery at Valley for an extended period of time have taken their toll.
Thank you for entrusting us to be part of your care team. Your continued care following our last day is truly important to us. We will assist current patients with transition of care to other local bariatric programs. There are several options available, including:
