Additionally, in our self-tracking we see that patients with a pre and post A1c available, who attended at a minimum of 2 (out of 3) classes, achieved an average of 1.9% reduction in A1c. This is greater than what metformin achieves alone (average reduction of 1.5%).
The program is usually covered by patients’ insurance plans. In August, we will begin offering evening classes and in September we will offer classes on weekends.
