Shahina Banthanavasi, MD, MHA, has worked at Valley Medical Center since 2006 and currently serves as the Senior Medical Director of Hospitalists. She was elected in 2020 to serve as Valley Medical Center’s Chief of Medical Staff for a two-year term.
Dr. Banthanavasi received her medical degree from Government Kilpauk Medical College in India. She then completed her Internal Medicine training at Internal Medicine Spokane, affiliated with University of Washington School of Medicine, and also received her Master of Health Administration degree from University of Washington. Dr. Banthanavasi is board-certified in internal medicine and is a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine. She is also a member of the American College of Physicians. She likes to spend her time away from work with family and friends and enjoys cooking, traveling and exploring new places.
