Sydney Cousin, MD, PhD has served at Valley Medicine Center as a hospitalist since 2011. He has a special interest critical care, infectious disease and comprehensive patient-centered corradiated care. Dr. Cousin has been named the Provider of the Quarter and twice the Provider of the Month since working at Valley Medical Center. He is excited about the practice of compassionate medicine and looks forward to caring for his patients like family.
Dr. Cousin received his medical degree from University of Washington School of Medicine & his doctoral degree from University of Washington Graduate School in Molecular and Cellular Biology. His combined residency in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics was completed at Eastern Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and he is a board-certified internist by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Cousin is originally from Maryland but has come to love and call the greater Seattle area home. His wife is also a graduate of University of Washington, and the couple enjoys traveling, hiking, backpacking, aviation, martial arts, and collecting art. They are animal lovers and have several pets and serve on the board of a local wildlife protection group.
