On April 22 we had a pipe elbow failure in our Emergency Department (ED) causing a significant water leak. Crews are assessing the impact and we are in the process of water abatement. Our ED is open, but several rooms are currently offline which could increase wait times. Some surgeries are also being rescheduled.

Sujatha Manthini, MD has been practicing at Valley Medical Center as a hospitalist since 2016. Dr. Manthini has a special interest in patient safety and evidence-based medicine and is an advocate for involving patients through every step of the decision-making process.
Dr. Manthini’s education began at the NTR University of Health Sciences in India. After graduating she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she completed residency at the Atlanta Medical Center. After completing residency, she undertook four years of research and taught medical students. She practiced at Athens Regional Medical Center before eventually joining the team of hospitalists here at Valley Medical Center.
