On April 22 we had a pipe elbow failure in our Emergency Department (ED) causing a significant water leak. Crews are assessing the impact and we are in the process of water abatement. Our ED is open, but several rooms are currently offline which could increase wait times. Some surgeries are also being rescheduled.

Sam Sussman, MD, is an internal medicine physician with a focus on hospital medicine. He has particular interest in providing the most recent evidence-based medicine. He treats patients with all diseases but has a special interest in cardiovascular and nephrologic diseases. He strives to care for patients as individuals and encourages engagement with family to ensure clear communication and goal setting.
Sam grew up in Seattle and obtained undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Washington. He completed his internal medicine residency at Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon. He then continued to serve Legacy Health as their Chief Resident and junior faculty hospitalist. Outside of work, Dr. Sussman enjoys running with his two dogs, traveling with his wife, cheering on Seattle sports teams with his friends, and raising his young son.
