The Wound Clinic at Valley Medical Center provides care for patients with wounds that do not heal for various reasons, such as venous or arterial insufficiency or pressure. Our ARNP's also see patients pre- and post- operatively for ostomy assessment and care.

    Biography

    Becky Lyons Dills, ARNP, has practiced in the wound, ostomy, and continence nursing specialty for seven years. Becky grew up in East Tennessee near the Smoky Mountains. She began her career in healthcare in 2006 as a licensed practical nurse until 2012 when she became a registered nurse. In 2019 she earned her Master of Science in nursing from Lincoln Memorial University.

    Becky enjoys traveling, dancing, interior design, learning new things, and crafting.

    Biography

    Karli Eastman, ARNP, is a nurse practitioner in Valley’s Wound Clinic. She aims to know her patients and their families for a relationship that focus on evidence-based practice, shared decision making, high-quality care, and patient empowerment.

    Karli grew up in Iowa, began her nursing career in 2011 and has gained experience in general surgery, plastics, and critical care where her interest in wound care and ostomy management began. She completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

    Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, tasting new foods, spending time with her dog, family, and friends.

    Biography

    Maritza Julia, ARNP, has practiced in the specialty of wound/ostomy care, her passion, since 2016. She enjoys meeting with patients and families from every walk of life. Her approach is to listen carefully to each person, develop good relationships, provide education, then work closely with the patient to develop a plan of care designed to achieve the most optimal healing results possible.

    Maritza initially began working in the healthcare field as an RN in 2004, then went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Washington. She holds certification from the American Board of Wound Management and ostomy training from the Cleveland Clinic. When not in the clinic, Maritza enjoys culinary adventures, being outdoors, traveling , ethnobotany, pets, and spending time with family.

    Biography

    Thia Riewe is a board-certified nurse practitioner in wound care at Valley Medical Care. Thia strongly believes that by combining her compassion with evidence-based practice/medicine, collaborative and supportive environment, and commitment to excellence, we will make a difference in improving the quality of patient care anywhere and everywhere we practice. She is committed to delivering the highest quality of care starting with holistic patient and family-centered care plans through collaborative work between healthcare professionals including patients and their families.

    After earning her Master’s in business administration in Germany, Thia worked for the hospitality business in Seattle while volunteering in a hospital. This volunteer work ignited her interest in healthcare. Thia started her nursing career in 2013 as a registered nurse working on cardiac and neuro telemetry units where her passion for wound care arose. She then continued her career and education to become an advance registered nurse practitioner with a certification in wound care. Thia received her Bachelor of Science in nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at University of Washington. She holds a national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

    Thia is fluent in German, Thai, and English. Outside of the workplace, Thia enjoys hiking, running, mountain biking, cooking different cuisines, and spending time with her dog, family, and friends.
