The Desimone Levee on the Green River failed and is under repair. The hospital is above the flood zone and currently in no danger of flooding. We evacuated our Time Square and Kent Station Clinics and our Lind Avenue locations. Several locations are experiencing staffing issues due to severe traffic impacts. Impacted patients are being contacted to reschedule appointments. Please be safe, do not drive or walk through standing water, and call 9-1-1 if you need emergency evacuation assistance.

Wound Care Staffing + New Medical Director

8/19/2025

We have been working to improve staffing for our Wound and Ostomy Care Team, and have seen an improvement in coverage over recent months.

We welcome Jack McCallum, MD, to the role of Medical Director for Wound and Ostomy Care. Dr. McCallum stepped into the role July 1.

The Wound Clinic inpatient and outpatient services have been combined into one service, with support from our APPs:

Lindsay Bryant, ARNP

Karli Eastman, ARNP

Maritza Julia, ARNP

We’re also pleased to announce that an experienced Wound Care RN, Traci Stout, began at Valley this week. With the new team structure, we expect to see improved inpatient services in the coming months.
